It's been almost an entire year since Matt and I have been "out to the movies," alone, as a couple, in an actual theater. We've gone twice with Delya - with varying results. The first time, Take 1, Matt and I falsely believed Delya would remain asleep in her car seat. Of course that wasn't the case. As soon as we nestled comfortably into our seats, the little wonder awoke. Matt and I spent the rest of the movie taking turns bouncing Delya on the ramp that descended into the theater. The second time, Take 2, we tried again. We thought our little wonder was a pro at being quiet and could handle the big theater. As our sweet, content girl peacefully sat on our lap through the trailer, we smiled and gave each other a pat on the back. Just as we were reveling in our awesomeness, the tides turned. Oh yes, the little lady thrust backward and let out a shriek that lit up the entire theater and caused heads to turn .... vouchers for us for another time.
Tonight, we wizened up. Omi and Pappi are watching the little lady, Matt and I are going out on a date!
